The clusters of study for English-Language Arts grades 6-8 are organized into 3 or 4 week blocks. Each cluster focuses on a few essential ELA standards and covers many other standards as well. Students should read and complete activities and projects on at least two grade-level approved novels as well. STAY TUNED: There will likely be some newer units posted here soon. Many middle school teachers/students are piloting new curriculum this semester, one of which will be adopted and available to all students next year, thus the need for "bandaid curriculum" is dwindling...

Grade 6 (Copper)
There is one unit for grades 6-8 this semester (see above). Consider scaffolding for younger students who may need more support and/or add enrichment activities for older students. There are two books you will need to purchase if your site/school does not already own them. Order these right away if you plan to use the unit:

Weeks 10, 11 & 12: ERWC Module (to the left). Choose one per grade level or use one for all middle school students (any of the topics would be appropriates for any middle grade student)
